Tell us about your band!: For the last decade THE EROTICS have delivered raw rock-n-roll with unabashed reality, infectious hooks and a sly knack for sarcasm. From the punk rock beginnings of their debut release \'Born To Destroy\' through the decadent and delinquent bluesy releases \'21st Century S.O.B.\' and \'All That Glitters Is Dead\' and on to the diseased and depraved \'Rock N Roll Killing Machine\' and last years highly acclaimed \'30 Second Over You\' (Voted # 30 in Classic Rock\'s 50 Best Albums of 2007) the band have returned with a new collection of rock anthems with their new CD simply titled \'RUBBISH\'. This time around they\'ve have adapted an unapologetic darker side to their already infectious tunes. From the bitter angst of opener \'Dead Last In The Rat Race\', the pop fuelled \'Born To Let You Down\' or even the country tinged soon to be classic \'Get Away From Me Motherfucker\', The Erotics once again prove they are undisputed Kings of Gutter Rock!! As one of the best kept (not-so) secrets in rock, The Erotics are riding the wave of the new rock-n-roll resurgence and are leading the charge, poised to expose themselves and sleazy, kick-ass rock-n-roll to the entire world. \"Mike Trash not only has the best Alice Cooper snarl this side of 1972 and the kind of million dollar guitar riffs Hardcore Superstar sold their first-born for, but his stellar songwriting skills and knack for pulling insanely catchy pop-hooks right out of the gutter is unparalleled. He\'s the f**kin\' Desmond Child of degenerate rock!\" Sleazegrinder \"Mike Trash has a new band of scoundrels backing him and a fistful of battering new hell-rockers like Terrorize You and Get Away From Me Motherfucker that stomp all over the semi-power balladry of last year\'s 30 Seconds Over You LP and reveal Trash\'s inner-GG Allin. While most bands slide into some form of respectability over the years, our man Trash has gone exactly the opposite way – the Erotics haven\'t sounded this evil for nearly a decade. Classic, mean-spirited sleaze-rock.\" SleazeGrinder \"Some bands don\'t waste their time! Here are 8 new songs from Albany\'s sleaziest hard rocking band, The EROTICS. After a few tours in the UK and lots of new fans there, it\'s not surprising to see that this new CD is being released by Trash Pit records (the British fanzine/record label.) The two first songs \"Dead Last In The Rat Race\"- a punked-up heavy rock song and \"Terrorize You\"-an anthemic rockin\' punk rock tune both put you straight into The EROTICS\' rawk\'n\'roll world! A song like \"Push Comes To Death\" could be the bastard child of WEDNESDAY 13 and early FASTER PUSSYCAT and the band shows us that adding a bit of blues to gutter rock (in \"Get Away From Me (Motherfu*cker))\" is never a bad idea, probably the most surprising song on here as it shows the EROTICS in a brand new light. These guys definitely have more than a couple of bullets in their guns! This time the EROTICS chose to end this record with an AC/DC cover (\"Walk All Over You\") and they did a great job with it as they did in the past with songs from MOTLEY CRUE or WASP. Fans of the band will love \"Rubbish\", no doubt about it! And if you still haven\'t got any EROTICS CD, then get this one and put on \"Born To Let You Down\" really loud, you\'ll see… You\'ll get addicted.\"/Laurent. The Erotics for president!\" Moreno Lissoni/Slam Rocks Unsuprisingly, The Erotics have produced yet another dirty, unwashed album yet somehow they have achieved sleazier riffs and bigger pop-hooks that is unparalled to their previous albums. \"Gutter Rock or Fuck n Roll is what this band of in your face, low-slung guitar swaggering degenerate rockers is all about and \'Rubbish\' only proves that they are the Kings of Rock n Roll. There are so many outstandingly amazing elements and styles to this album that had it not been for The Sleaze-Meisters themselves, all the infectious tunes, massive riffs, and sarcasm would be totally lost in reality. The track, Push Comes to Death is pure guitaring genius with attitude more toxic than any sludge youve ever encountered. Also,\'Get away from me Motherfucker\' is a country tinged track of anthemic proportions and this song alone is worth purchasing this album for. Mike Trash has certainly created the sleaziest most unrivalled album of fuck tunes that will kick your rocking ass right into the gutter and have you sleazing for more!\" Komodo Rock \"Hot off the presses in the brand new release from The Erotics. But who the hell are The Erotics, and why haven\'t I heard of them before? Apparently the band started out many years ago as punk rockers (which is likely why they slipped under my radar) before morphing into something much better. What they have become on their latest release Rubbish are pure New York gutter sleaze merchants. Band leader Mike Trash sounds like he has an axe to grind right from the opening flurry of \"Dead Last In The Rat Race\" as he starts bitching with a Wednesday 13 growl. It sounds like the man is about to blow a gasket as he storms through each track with a Crank County Daredevils type urgency. While the punk sound is all but removed from The Erotics on this album, the punk manifest still lingers in the lyrics of songs such as \"Get Away From Me (Mother F*cker)\", \"Nobody Want You Around\" and \"Born To Let You Down\". Things rarely slow down on Rubbish, as the band conjures up a musical hurricane on tracks like \"Terrorize You\" - a song that sounds like The Throbs being spun at 100mph. The only time Mike Trash and the guys slow down is on \"Get Away From Me (Mother F*cker)\", a song that is a welcome addition as it gives the listener a chance to catch their breath. Even though the song sounds a bit out of place on Rubbish, it completely succeeds with its laid-back disdain and groovy southern slide guitar. Ending this collection of brutality and anger is a cover of AC/DC\'s often overlooked \"Walk All Over You\". It is a fitting conclusion to this album as Mike Trash captures Bon Scott\'s swagger and fuck-it attitude perfectly while still making the song all his own. You can almost picture the rabid foam dripping from Trash\'s lips as he spits out each attitude driven lyric, and the band stays right on top of things, never getting left behind in the mix. At a mere eight songs you might consider Rubbish to be too short. But believe me, if the disc was any longer you\'d get the feeling you were being bludgeoned to death. Ferocity of this magnitude should only be delivered in short spurts and The Erotics know exactly how much they can get away with...as hey have proved with Rubbish, and album that is anything but!\" Skid-SleazeRoxx
