Lindsay Lohan’s Mother Dina Arrested in New York For DWI

Like daughter, like mother. Following in her daughter Lindsay Lohan's rocky, sometimes heinous and humiliating footsteps is her mother Dina Lohan, who earlier this week was arrested for DWI in Farmingdale, New York. 

The 50-year-old was driving her BMW 77 mph in a 55-mph zone in Nassau County, Long Island on Thursday night. She was arrested for aggravated drunk driving after blowing a BAC level of 0.20, over two times the legal limit for New York. She was nine miles away from her Merrick, NY home.

She received a ticket for speeding as well as one for driving while intoxicated.

Her lawyer, Mark Jay Heller, issued a statement Friday that called Lohan a good person and said she appreciates the grave seriousness of this matter and is mindful that the Nassau County District Attorney consider these types of cases a top priority.

 

But as an attorney with 45 years of experience, he wrote, I am confident that as a first time offender, with absolutely no prior record, that the judicial system will treat Dina Lohan with even-handed fairness.

She is due in court on September 24.
