Let’s Get Ready To Rumble

This Sunday is the WWE Royal Rumble!

Unfortunately the results have been spoiled, because of a glitch in the electronic billboard at Times Square in New York City. Or was it!?

If you want to believe in the spoiler, then believe in Roman Reigns winning the Rumble. I know the favorites are Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan. Personally I would rather see Daniel Bryan win it, because I agree with Mick Foley, in that Daniel Bryan vs. Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania could be the greatest David vs Goliath story line in wrestling history.

However I do have a dream pick. My dream winner of the Royal Rumble is Stardust.

In my opinion the Royal Rumble is the second biggest event in the WWE year, second to Wrestlemania of course. It features the most entertaining match of the year and you get to see more of the WWE roster then you would during any other event.

My favorite Royal Rumble was the 2001 Rumble, not only was Drew Carey's role in that years Royal Rumble hilarious, but the match was like Kane's odyssey. He enters the rumble with Carey being the only person in the ring, then when Raven comes in after him the Royal Rumble turns into a hardcore match. After Kane flips out and eliminates everyone the Honky Tonk Man of all people comes down to the ring to sing a song and ends up getting choke slammed and tossed out of the ring. The rest of that years match featured all the main carders and had story lines crossing over one another to the very end where a bloody Stone Cold wins the match.

I feel like I am cheating on Albany with that one though, but to our credit the 1992 Royal Rumble was the most historic Royal Rumble, but I already pointed that out on Monday.
