Earlier this year, Korn had released "Get Up" to the public after remixing the song with DJ Skrillex. Skrillex has also done other successful dubstep mixes with artists such as Rob Zombie, The Black Eyed Peas, and even Lady Gaga. If you haven't heard "Get Up," be sure to check it out. It's full of energy and is sure to get you amped.

Originally, Korn had only planned to release an EP this year. Plans changed a couple months ago after they finalized their decision to create a dubstep album. I've definitely grown fond of dubstep over this past year, and cannot wait to hear what Korn has in store for us.

Korn Bassist, Fieldy said: "We've collaborated with six, maybe seven dubstep producers on the new record. I've done my parts, I think Jonathan [Davis, singer] has a couple of vocal takes still to do, but it's almost done."

The album is set to be released later this year. It's nice to see major bands, such as Korn, experimenting with different styles of music. This way, they can expand their fan base even further. Maybe this will put Korn in the running as a performer at Camp Bisco or Lollapalooza next year? One can only hope.
