Despite the fact that he's still recovering from broken ribs sustained in a bus accident, Kings of Leon drummer Nathan Followill joined the band for their first full performance together since the incident in July at Budweiser's Made in America Festival in Philadelphia last night (Aug. 31).

The band tore through a headlining 14-song set before a three-song encore to close the festival that also featured Spoon and Grimes. After the performance, Followill took to Twitter to thank fans and express how much pain he had to endure throughout the show:

Although Kings of Leon were forced to cancel a few more recent shows due to Followill's injury, the band are expected to resume the North American leg of their tour in support of 2013's ‘Mechanical Bull’ through the fall.
