It’s Time for Saratoga Beer Week

If you're a fan of water, yeast, malt and hops all mixed together and enjoy festivals, then don't miss the inaugural Saratoga Beer Week, Thursday February 23rd thru Saturday February 25th at the City Center and various locations throughout Saratoga Springs.   Over 80 breweries will be present and you can sample more than 150 different types of beer.  This is a beer lovers haven!!  

Regional and national craft brewers including many New York brewed brands plus a large selection of well known home brew masters will be on hand to show you their skills and sample their products..  Many Saratoga restaurants will have beer and food pairing seminars and beer education during the first two days.  On Saturday at the City Center will be the Beer Summit better known as the huge tasting of rare and no so rare beers.

Be aware, the Beer Summit isn't your normal beer festival, craft brew festival, or beer fest. It kicks off the Spring collection of many breweries and throughout three and a half hours, you''ll drink your way around the world starting in Saratoga, across the Atlantic to Ireland, Belgium and Germany then on to the West Coast and back to New York State.

Organizers are calling the Saratoga Beer Week a 'Beer Retreat' and  Saratoga Springs is the perfect place to hold a beer event.  Within a eight block downtown there are numerous bars, music clubs, restaurants and hotels.  Get the Passport to enjoy every event and get you discounts at local, bar, restaruants and shops.

Saratoga is also home to the Olde Saratoga Brewing Company’s tasting room and is just a few blocks from the City Center.  They are the brewers of Olde Saratoga Lager and IPA, Kingfisher, Shmaltz Brewing beers (Coney Island Lager,  He’Brew the Chosen Beer,  etc.) and other craft beers.
