The annual Capital District Grown Up Egg Hunt will be taking place at Troy's Prospect Park on Sunday, April 3.

According to alloveralbany.com, the event will feature hundreds of plastic eggs which will contain candy or vouchers to local area businesses. Proceeds from this year's event will help various charities, including Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, the Gabby Rocco Let it Shine Foundation, and Pints for Prostates.

Tickets for the event can be burchased in advance online for $11.50 and will be $12 the day of the event. There will be live entertainment along with food trucks on the premises. Registration is at 1 p.m. and the egg hunt starts at 2:30 p.m.

This sounds like a great time. Who says Easter is just for kids? I can see getting some friends together and hitting up the Troy area for this fun event.

This year marks the fifth anniversary of the Capital District Grown Up Egg Hunt.
