The Yankees continue through their road trip and pick up another win, 10-3 against Oakland last night.

Yankee bats were very much alive with several Yanks with multiple hits.  Derek Jeter was 2-4, A-Rod went 3-4 with 3 RBI's and Curtis Granderson was the man with the big bat last night.  He goes 3-5 with 4 RBI's.   Granderson went deep in the first inning with one runner on to put the Yankees up early. Granderson has 17 homers so far this season, he leads the team.  Robinson Cano would blast another homer in the 5th inning to add to the Yankee total.

Freddy Garcia had a good outing.  He lasts 7 innings, strikes out 5  and allows the 3 Oakland runs, but with the Yankee hitters on top they didn't mean much.  Garcia is now 4-4 on the season with a 3.34 ERA, third best on the pitching staff behind Bartolo Colon and CC Sabathia.

That win now gives the Yankees a one game lead over Boston for first place in the AL East.  Boston got roughed up by the White Sox last night 10-7.  Rays win moving them to 1.5 back of the first spot.

Yankees continue in Oakland this afternoon at 3:35p.  They'll be off on Thursday while they travel to Anaheim to take on the Angels over the weekend.
