Last week, we reported that George Zimmerman had agreed to a celebrity boxing match and that he would fight 'anyone.' When we said anyone, we meant anyone. The promoter for the fight was even accepting applications from the public.

Though you or I didn't get the call for the fight, one rapper who has had his fare share of run-ins with the law did.

Celeb boxing promoter Damon Feldman told TMZ that out of 15,000, DMX was selected as the person to strap on the gloves and step in to the ring with one of America's most polarizing figures in recent history.

When reached for comment, X had this to say:

I am going to beat the living [beep] out him … I am breaking every rule in boxing to make sure I [beep] him right up.

There were a few other choice words we can't retype on this site but X is also making it about race, furthering with the comments:

(I'm doing it for) every black person who has been done wrong in the system.

The original reported date for the match-up was March 1 but that may change when full details are announced in the official press conference. What we do know is the fight will be 3 rounds and that Zimmerman has age on his side. Zimmerman is 30 years old while DMX is 43.
