Happy Birthday today (Sept. 2) to Fear Factory co-founder and guitarist Dino Cazares. He's 50.

Industrial metal band Fear Factory formed out of Los Angeles, California in 1989 and were very influential on the heavy metal scene in the mid to late 1990's. The band has seen many lineup changes over the years, with the current lineup featuring guitarist Dino Cazares, lead vocalist Burton C. Bell, bassist Tony Campos, and drummer Mike Heller. The band's 1995 album Demanufacture is the band's most successful release and it is considered a landmark album for alternative metal. In an interview with the VH1 Classic television series That Metal Show, Black Sabbath drummer Bill Ward said that Fear Factory is one of the bands he wishes he could play with.
