Check out Paul Dano, Benicio Del Toro and Patricia Arquette as the Clinton Correctional escapees and accomplice in the first trailer for "Escape from Dannemora' ...

So remember back in the summer of 2015 when two inmates at the Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora, NY managed to make a break for it by digging, sawing, and cutting their way out of the prison. There was a lot going on with this story because while the duo managed to avoid being caught for nearly a month details started to emerge about just how these two got out. Like one of them seducing a married correctional employee and convincing her to bring in supplies and act as a getaway driver. Things didn’t end so well for the escapees (or their accomplices). The correctional employee ended up confessing and getting arrested then a couple weeks later, per NewYorkUpstate.com :

Matt was killed by police June 26 during a search in woods 30 miles west of the prison. Sweat was shot and captured two days later in the same area while heading toward the Canadian border.

The daring escape played out just like a Hollywood movie or maybe more accurately a premium cable TV mini series.

Actor and producer Ben Stiller has turned the Upstate New York Escape into a new series for Showtime and has enlisted some A-list actors to help tell the story. Check out Paul Dano and Benicio Del Toro as the escaped convicts and Patricia Arquette as the married correctional employee/accomplice in the first trailer for 'Escape from Dannemora' below.

If you pay attention you might notice some familiar places since a lot of the film was actually shot in Upstate and Northern New York where the escape actually happened. Like the manhole the two crawled out of, the actual Clinton County Correctional Facility in Dannemora, and the Adirondacks.
