First Giveaway at Saratoga Race Track

There will be four free giveaway dates at the Saratoga Race Course this racing season.  Sunday is the first giveaway and it's the Saratoga baseball cap, free with a paid admission while supplies last.

Sunday, Aug. 14: Saratoga short sleeve T-shirt

Sunday, Aug. 21: Saratoga sports bag

Sunday, Sept. 4: Saratoga long sleeve T-shirt.

Its the 143rd meeting this summer and the giveaway days are always popular.  This year the track has added a few special events.

August 5th is Rivalry Day - fans are encouraged to wear their team.  Its also the same day the Yankees & Red Sox play.  The game will be shown on the big screen.

August 10th is Mardi Gras Day.  Dont forget your beads!

A number of other events to keep in mind include College Day July 29; Midsummer St. Patrick’s Day Aug. 3; and Fabulous Fillies Day, which benefits breast cancer research, on Aug. 19.

There will also be many Travers Events leading up to the track’s biggest race, The Travers Stakes and will run from Aug. 20 to 27.

Another addition to the track this summer is Dunkin Donuts.  They have taken over a booth formerly occupied by Carvel Ice Cream.
