Traveling around the Albany International Airport this afternoon, your car windows may rattle as Air National Guard  F-15D fighter jets will be doing touch-n-go training today.  The aircraft are from the Massachusetts Air National Guard based at Barnes Air National Guard Base in Westfield.

They will intercept Civil Air Patrol planes over Rome in mid-morning and over Albany in mid-afternoon.   The exercises are part of the Air Guard's proficiency training.

The fighters based at Barnes are responsible for responding to airborne threats in the Northeast.
