On May 31st, Crossgates Mall in Guilderland, NY is taking measures to clean up the entrances of their mall.  How?  By making it policy to not allow smokers to light up near the doors.

It was announced a few months ago that Crossgates Mall would be going tobacco free.  Obviously you can't smoke inside the mall, but now you won't be able to be huddled outside of the doors smoking either.  Non-smokers will appreciate not having to walk through the clouds of smoke anymore.

That doesn't mean that you can't smoke in the parking lot though, just make sure to put out your cigarette before you get to the door.  Is it taking away certain freedoms that smokers enjoy?  Sure, but it's also attempting to benefit society by making people healthier.  How can you not be for that?
