Alter Bridge may be working on a new album this year, but it looks like fans will have a chance to reflect on the band's past before the new disc drops. The group revealed in a posting at their website that a new box set is in the works for a May release.

Although Scott Weiland isn't happy with the recent announcement that he was fired from Stone Temple Pilots, he hoping there will be a reconciliation in the future. However, he did state that reuniting with Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear for the 'Sound City Players' shows did present some interesting conversations. Grohl revealed that one recent scenario involved an invite to PJ Harvey to see if she might be interested in joining them on a performance of a Nirvana track.
