Cat Summoned For Jury Service

This Tabby kitty was summoned for jury duty after it's owners listed him under the pets section of the census last year.

When they contacted the court to let them know that the cat named Sal was in fact a cat and could not speak nor understand English, the court replied that he still had to show up for jury duty!   It is THAT hard to excuse yourself from jury duty, apparently not even cats are exempt.  I love this story.
