Saratoga County is getting ready for a big celebration this Friday, April 20.

According to The Daily Gazette, the town of Corinth in Saratoga County celebrates it's official 200th birthday on Friday with bicentennial events scheduled. A spaghetti dinner with pasta, salad, dessert and refreshments will take place at Corinth Central School is from 5-6:30pm to benefit the Bicentennial Committee. Tickets are $10 at the door ($5 for children). Plus a historical re-enactment of town meetings will take place at 6:30pm with the opening of a 1968 time capsule, and the creation of new one.

Corinth, NY sits on the northeast border of Saratoga County, and according to the 2010 census, had a population of 6,531. Corinth is known as "the snowshoe capital of the world." So if your looking for a fun start to the weekend, this might be something to check out. It's the start of many planned events for the town this year. Happy 200th to Corinth, NY!
