BJ’s Weekend Adult Beverage Discoveries – Chocolate Wine & Arnold Palmer Gets Spiked

This weekend was pretty good to me when I went looking for something to drink.  On Friday I stumbled upon a new twist on one of my favorite drinks and chocolate combined with red wine is way better than it sounds.

Sometimes you just get tired of the same old thing, so why not try something different?  That's exactly what I did this weekend.  I was in search of something awesome to drink, and I definitely found that.  Not only once but twice.

I know that people have been combining chocolate and red wind for years now, but in the same bottle?  I think not, unless I have just been missing out.  Over the summer I remember seeing bottles of this stuff called ChocoVine, which was dutch chocolate combined with red wine.  I was tempted to get it, but always would go with something else.  This weekend I finally picked up a bottle for my fiance and I to enjoy, and enjoy we did.  If you are a fan of Bailey's Irish cream, then you will love this.  Forget dessert, just get this.  I suggest pouring over ice.

Another discovery I had over the weekend was Arnold Palmer hard tea.  Lately I have been cutting out the beer and drinking Twisted Tea.  So I went to grab some this weekend and sitting next to it was this gem. I have been buying the giant cans of Arnold Palmer for years, so naturally I had to try this.

As far as I know this is a new product because I had never seen it before.  It tasted very similar to a Long Island ice tea to me, but toned down a little bit.  Over all though, it was a very good drink.  I poured it into a big glass full of ice for maximum refreshment.

So don't be afraid to try something new.  The same old thing gets boring.  One thing that's for sure is that Fall is here which means many different kinds of pumpkin ale will be hitting the market and I can't wait to try some out!
