The comic book movie that has anticipated for over a year is finally here.  Marvel's Captain America: The First Avenger hit's theaters everywhere today and I'm here to tell you why it absolutely rocks.

How can you not be excited for this movie?  Captain America was one of America's first super hero's.  On his first comic book cover he punched Hitler right in the mouth.  Besides Superman, I don't think there is a more patriotic hero out there.  Since 2008's Iron Man, they have slowly been making their way to an Avengers movie and Captain America is the final piece to the puzzle.

This weekend it hit's the theaters and you can bet that I will be there to check it out.  If it's anything like Thor, it's going to kick some major ass.  I have always been a big fan of Cap' and to finally see him in a movie that isn't that ridiculous one from the 1990's.  At first I wasn't sure how I felt about Chris Evans as Captain America, but the more I see the trailer the more I like it.  Knowing the history of the character it will be interesting .

One thing I am really looking forward too is Hugo Weaving as the Red Skull, one of the best villains in comic book history. Weaving has been fantastic in everything I have seen him in the past (The Matrix, Lord Of The Rings) and I think he is going to nail this part without a doubt.

From everything that i have been reading online you're going to want to stick around after the credits too.  Normally Marvel will play a quick clip leading up to their next big movie, but at the end of this one it is the actual teaser trailer for The Avengers movie.  Now this is just according to what I have read online, so I could be wrong.  If I'm not though, that is pretty badass.  So without a doubt, Captain America is my movie pick for this weekend.  Stay tuned for a review of the film.

BONUS PICK: If you have a chance to see two movies this weekend, or maybe Cap' isn't for you, than my bonus pick this week is Friends With Benefits starring Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis.  I like both of these actors and it seems funny enough that it will grab my attention. Plus it has Woody Harrelson in it, and you can't go wrong with that.
