Every once in a while I'll stumble across a show and become 100% obsessed with it.  The latest is Dual Survival on The Discovery Channel.

I love when I find a new television show. Unfortunately for the people around me, if I like it, I need to see it all the time.  Dual Survival on Discovery is the latest show that I can't pass up.  It features survival experts Cody Lundin and Dave Canterbury in life or death situations in some of the worlds craziest places.  Now it may seem extreme, but the scenarios that they play out could actually happen.

Most of the places they go to are ones frequented by big game hunters or wild life enthusiasts who might not be knowledgeable enough to escape the situation they are put in.  They show you what you need to do to make fire, get food and fend off possible dangerous predators in the process.  I can't get enough of it.

Cody is hands down my favorite.  He is a hippie from Arizona who lives a minimalist and is an expert in primitive skills.  There is nothing in the woods that this guy can't utilize.  He also never wears shoes or long pants.  The reason for that?  He believes that by exposing his legs and feet to the elements that his cells will restructure to protect them more.  Dave is awesome too.  An ex army vet who has been all around the world learning to survive in these spots for years. He is a tough guy.  In one episode to show they did a scenario of two hunters getting lost and one getting a cut on his arm, Dave cut into his arm with a knife and put black powder from a gun into it, lite it on fire and sealed the wound.  Holy hell.

So in-case you guys ever need a survival expert, keep in mind that I do watch this show so I may be able to help.  Probably not though, so good luck!
