Yesterday official word broke that original Black Sabbath drummer Bill Ward would not be participating in the upcoming reunion shows.   It all came down to money, which just has Sabbath fans shaking their heads.

My all time favorite band is Black Sabbath.  Pictured above is the time that I got to meet Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler.  It was one of the coolest things I got to do, and to top it off they were nice as hell (but shorter than I imagined, but then again I am a giant).

So when word broke that Sabbath would be touring again in the summer of 2012 I got very excited.  It was suppose to be all original members.  A couple months after the announcement was made, Tony Iommi was diagnosed with lymphoma.  Despite that, he was in the studio recording with the band while getting treatment.  That's what we call a trooper folks.

Now it seems that one greedy old man is ruining all the fun.  Bill Ward officially pulled out, and surprise, surprise, it's all about money.  That's right.  Ward decided they weren't going to be paying him enough to bother with the tour.  Ward posted an official letter on his facebook page addressing the subject.

After some mumbo-jumbo about how he is very disappointed that they couldn't agree on a 'singable' contract, he finally cuts to the chase and says he's out.  Bill, this is why you have always been my least favorite member of the band.  It's time to get Vinny Appice on board, because if it's not Bill Ward, as a fan I want Vinny.

Shame on you Bill Ward, but I have to give you credit.  You stuck to your guns, your greedy, greedy guns.
