Despite many attempts, Warner Bros. has yet to get a 'Wonder Woman' movie made. Marvel has made a movie featuring a talking raccoon with a machine gun before Warner Bros. has been able to figure out how to get 'Wonder Woman' - their third most well-known superhero property - made. It's something that hasn't been lost of comic fans and now Warner Bros. is admitting publicly the lack of a 'Wonder Woman' movie has been a "missed opportunity" and that they "need" to adapt 'Wonder Woman' as soon as possible.
When James Spader was officially cast as Ultron in 'Avengers 2,' Marvel announced the occasion in grand style on their own style. But, before they could get to announcing who would play Scarlet Witch in 'Avengers 2,' Samuel L. Jackson has beaten them to the punch and announced that Elizabeth Olsen has joined the cast.
'The Avengers 2' teaser debuted at the 2013 Comic-Con in grand fashion. At the very end of Marvel's panel, an unannounced Joss Whedon came on stage to show a brief video. No one had any idea what it was for or what it would be announcing. It turned out, it was an announcement teaser for 'The Avengers 2,' which, was revealed as being subtitled 'Age of Ultron.' The crowd went nuts.
But, if you weren't at Comic-Con, you never had a chance to see the 'Avengers 2' trailer. Until now.
After many false starts and potential cancelations, filming on 'Dumb and Dumber 2' has begun and star Jim Carrey has revealed the first shot from the set featuring him and co-star Jeff Daniels back as Harry and Lloyd.
It should be one of the biggest no-brainer casting moments for the Marvel universe: Terry Crews as Luke Cage. Yet, we've had no significant movement on a Luke Cage movie (or TV show, for that matter), while rumors continue to persist about another African-American Marvel movie ('Black Panther') continue. Well, despite the obvious fancasting, Terry Crews says Luke Cage is "being ignored" at Marvel and he has no interest in playing the superhero.
While J.K. Rowling is one of the biggest selling (and richest) authors in the world, she has never written a movie screenplay. But, when you're the creator of the billion dollar 'Harry Potter' franchise, even a first time writer can make some creative demands.
Rowling will write the screenplay for the forthcoming 'Harry Potter' spinoff 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' and her contract with Warner Bros. stipulates that her script cannot be rewritten, doctored or polished without her explicit permission.
Up until now, almost every actor in Hollywood has been asked for their reaction on Ben Affleck being cast as Batman in 'Batman vs. Superman' (as if their opinion mattered at all), when the one person we wanted to hear from - Affleck himself - has stayed completely silent.
Until now. Affleck appeared on 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon' last night and talked about why he wanted to star as Batman, his reaction to the internet freak out and why his radio silence wasn't an accident.
Perhaps all work and no play really does make Jack a dull boy.

With filming on 'Star Wars: Episode 7' scheduled to begin in just about four months, casting on the new movie is well underway. And, after many rumors and much conjecture, we've got one more rumor to add to the pile. Director J.J. Abrams, who likes to return to work with some of the same actors, has brought a friend from the 'Star Trek' universe with him: Benedict Cumberbatch is rumored to star in 'Star Wars: Episode 7.'
'Avengers' director and current Marvel Studios creative head muckity-muck Joss Whedon has a knack for killing off beloved characters. You need to look to further than 'Buffy,' Firefly,' 'Angel' and, of course, 'The Avengers' for evidence. But, as he prepares to shoot 'Avengers 2: Age of Ultron' in a few months, will Whedon take things up a notch and, gulp, kill one of the Avengers?
We've been hearing about 'Ted 2' since...well, since the first 'Ted' became a box-office sensation and made $550 million worldwide. But, since then, we've had precious little in the way of actual updates. Sure, everyone - including star Mark Wahlberg and writer/director Seth MacFarlane - want it to happen, but would it actually happen? MacFarlane took to Twitter and let everyone know that it is happening and exactly when you'll be able to see it.
After 'The Lone Ranger' opened to poor reviews and disappointing box office, Johnny Depp was criticized for his recent acting choices. From 'Pirates of the Caribbean 4' to 'Dark Shadows,' many accused Depp of going through the motions, all-too-happy to cash his paycheck to star in whatever Disney or Tim Burton was asking him to star in, regardless of the quality.
In a related story, Johnny Depp is in final negotiations to return as The Mad Hatter in Disney's 'Alice in Wonderland 2.'
