Rocking for a cause is something Seether know a lot about. Their Rise Above Fest was born in 2012 and made its triumphant return to New England again this year on May 10 at the Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion in Bangor, Maine. The festival, the brainchild of Seether frontman Shaun Morgan, aims to raise funding and more importantly, awareness about suicide-- something that Morgan has a deeply personal connection with after the loss of his brother Eugene in 2007.
Move over Trent Reznor! There's another top rocker being parodied in a new video making the rounds. The clip is titled 'The Greatest Hit of Disturbed' and it takes aim at Disturbed frontman David Draiman.
We caught up with Rob Halford on the red carpet of the 3rd Annual Ronnie James Dio Awards on Monday (March 17) in Los Angeles. The Judas Priest singer was on hand to receive the Man on the Silver Mountain Award for helping to raise awareness of the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund.
As part of the Country Radio Seminar week in Nashville, there are always surprises for those who make the trip to Music City. One of the biggest surprises of the week comes from Big Machine Records -- home of artists like Taylor Swift, Tim McGraw and Rascal Flatts -- when the label joined the forces of their country roster with the legend that is Vince Neil, frontman for Motley Crue.
Before the digital age, walking around a record store and curiously browsing through potential gems undiscovered, an effective piece of album art would sometimes provide all incentive needed to bust out your wallet. The various members of Motley Crue have been talking about a definitive farewell tour for the past year, and now it appears as if they're set to make it official. A 'Save the Date' notice recently surfaced declaring 'R.I.P.: All Bad Things Must Come to and End' while mentioning an event set for Jan. 28 in Los Angeles.
