You Can Now Take a Bus Tour of the ‘Family Guy’ Town of Quahog, RI

Unlike a certain other prime-time animated sitcom, ‘Family Guy‘ has never played coy with what state it is set in. ‘Family Guy’ creator Seth MacFarlane attended college in Rhode Island and has more or less made the state a character in the show.

The town of Quahog however, where the dysfunctional Griffin family and their even more dysfunctional friends live,  is fictional.

But it’s going to be a real place for a day as part of a bus tour being offered by the Rhode Island-based Blackstone Valley Tourism Council.

When we were first introduced to the Dragon Dog it was just a really expensive item on the menu at DougieDog Hot Dogs in Vancouver, Canada.

But now the $100 Frankfurter, a foot-long bratwurst topped with kobe beef, truffle oil, fresh lobster and hundred-year-old Louis XIII cognac, has been officially recognized by the Guinness Book of Records as the most expensive hot dog in world.

Springfield Actually Not In Oregon, Says ‘Simpsons’ Creator Matt Groening

Well, Oregon, it was fun while at lasted. Earlier this week, it was reported that Matt Groening, the creator of ‘The Simpsons‘, had declared in an interview with Smithsonian Magazine that the famous family’s home of Springfield was in Oregon, ending two decades of debate over what state housed America’s favorite animated town.
