A Seattle man had a noble idea leading up to the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. He was going to dribble a soccer ball all the way from the Emerald City down to Sao Paulo, Brazil, arriving in time for the World Cup, to help bring awareness to One World Futbol Project, a charity he was involved with. He was hit by a pickup truck and killed yesterday in Oregon.
Members of our government are held to a high standard. As our elected representatives, they are expected to uphold the moral and ethical standards of our communities while acting in our best interests. Gloversville mayoral candidate Michael Ponticello must have missed that memo, as he was recently found passed out drunk at the Glove City Sports Lounge in the town in which he's running for office, with someone taking a hilarious photo of him out cold.

St. Patrick's Day in Albany is one of the best and worst things about the city. On the one hand, you have a large group of people taking pride in their heritage with a lovely St. Patrick's Day Parade downtown. On the other, you have a bunch of frat bros like these idiots who want to drink green Keystone Ice from 6 AM to 5 PM, flip over Nissan Maximas and get into fights with each other. This is a story of the latter.
