'As You Are' a film shot in and around the Capital Region and starring Charlie Heaton of Netflix's 'Stranger Things' is set to premiere at the Spectrum in Albany!

We've been excited about this film for well over a year now and we are finally going to get to see it! In January of 2016 we learned that a film called 'As You Are' that was shot right here in the Capital Region by writer/director and Albany Free School Alumni, Miles Joris-Peyrafitte was going to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival.

The film actually did really well at the festival earning the special jury prize and was nominated for the grand jury prize. Originally we thought we were going to have to wait for it to be released digitally to see it. However, you are going to be able to see it on the BIG screen soon! The film will be having it's Capital Region premiere at the Spectrum in Albany on Friday, March 3rd.

In case you are unfamiliar with the film ‘As You Are’ is a coming of age drama set in the 90’s starring Charlie Heaton who made a name for himself starring in the Netflix series ‘Stranger Things’ (he played Johnathan Byers, Will’s brother/the guy with the camera) alongside Owen Campbell (Boardwalk Empire) and Amandla Stenberg (Rue from the Hunger Games).

We hear that Miles will actually be appearing at the films premiere at the Spectrum on March 3rd and are hoping to get to chat with the man himself a bit to get the scoop on all the festivities for ya so check back next week for more details!
