Think you're addicted to the internet or social media? Most will pass it off as though they are not but in fact, are. 

Adults in American spend nearly 23 hours a week communicating via technology or social media. Younger Americans spend about 28 hours a week doing the same.

The survey also found that 50% of respondents played online games with others at least once a week. Here's were it gets interesting, of all those "online friends" only 11% actually saw those friends in person over the course of the last 3 months.

Connecting with loved ones? 60% of those in the survey say they do most of it via technology or social media. Don't be fooled by that number, 86% of the respondents said they missed spending meaningful time together while 83% missed the "warmth and the satisfaction after being with people they enjoy
