He's a tough man to track down, but at the 2015 Welcome to Rockville Festival, we managed to grab Ministry mastermind Al Jourgensen for an exclusive interview.

It's no secret that in the past, Al Jourgensen did not enjoy performing live. You can read it for yourself in Uncle Al's official memoir, Ministry: The Lost Gospels According to Al Jourgensen. However, the industrial pioneer has "flip-flopped" on that issue, instead thinking of his performances as each day's highlight. As for the other 22 or 23 hours of the day, Jourgensen unleashed some frustration, claiming, "This job sucks!" and "Don't ever be a lead singer or grow up wanting to be one, because you're in for a life of misery."

While speaking to Full Metal Jackie, Jourgensen discussed making a new record with Lard, his dormant industrial / hardcore punk band which features Dead Kennedys legend Jello Biafra on vocals. Al also shares excitement for an entirely new project, Surgical Meth Machine, which according to Al, will put out its debut album in September.

Jourgensen also gave us the scoop about a Summer 2016 festival, which he himself is sponsoring. The event will be called Industrial Strength, and in Al's words, "If you're an industrial band, you will be on this gig. And I'm kind of like the Ozzy [Osbourne] of the thing. I'm the King, Trent [Reznor] is the Prince… or Princess, I don't know." Despite Uncle Al's hilarity, we can't confirm that any of Reznor's projects will be involved in Industrial Strength.

Watch the always entertaining and informative Al Jourgensen in the exclusive video above!

Thanks to Al Jourgensen for the interview. Full Metal Jackie’s weekend show can be heard on radio stations around the country — for a full list of stations, go to fullmetaljackieradio.com.
