Adrian Peterson has had more than his share of troubles this season.

The NFL star, who remains suspended, decided to chime in on Twitter on a grand jury's decision not to indict Darren Wilson in the Michael Brown shooting that has put Ferguson, Missouri under the microscope.

It was a bit of a head-scratcher, since the two cases were not connected. Perhaps sensing he may have crossed a line he shouldn't have, Peterson offered his support for Brown's family:

Peterson has appealed the suspension handed down by the NFL after he pleased no contest to misdemeanor assault for using a switch on his 4-year-old son.
