Led Zeppelin, Guns N Roses, The Beatles, Cream, Hendrix and more on this list. But who has the greatest riff of all time?

I recently put together a list of my top 20 Power Ballads of all time and I know how much thought and work goes into something like that.  So when I see the Top 50 Guitar riffs of all time, this must have taken some time to put together.  So many artists on this list that wake up in the morning and piss excellence.

Bands that made the list are the likes of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Iron Maiden, Eric Clapton, Van Halen, Metallica, all unbelievably talented guitar players.  So how do you go about picking #1?  On of my favorite riffs of all time seemed to be left off, but I think it deserves an honorable mention.  Lenny Kravitz and Slash Always on the Run.   The top 10 is very hard to argue with.  The only thing I may swap out is switch #1 and #2.  Here is a look at the top 10 from Spiner Magazines list:

10. Metallica- Enter Sandman

9. Dire Straits- Money For Nothing

8. AC/DC- Back in Black

7. Guns n Roses- Sweet Child O' Mine

6. The Kinks- You Really Got me

5. Chuck Berry- Johnny B Good

4. Led Zeppelin- Heartbreaker

3. Black Sabbath- Iron Man

2. Jimi Hendrix- Voodoo Chile' (slight return)

1. Rolling Stones- (I can't get no) Satisfaction
