10 Years Of Apple Store Success

It's hard to believe it's only been 10 years since the first Apple Store popped up.  It's been quite a run for them.

Today is the Apple Stores 10th birthday.  At the time it seemed kind of crazy for an entire store based solely on one product to open, but they have been one of the most successful retailers since opening the first store back in 2001.

Now there are about 300 Apple Stores in the country including right here in Albany at Crossgates Mall.  Every time I walk past it there is a crowd inside checking out all the new gadgets.  Crowds are apparent at Apple stores everywhere, and they aren't just browsing either.  The Apple Store makes around $9 billion in sales.  Not surprising considering the price of some of their products, but people seem to eat it up.  Call Steve Jobs crazy all you want, but he will just say "I told you so" while rolling around in a giant pile of money like Scrooge McDuck.  Happy Birthday Apple Stores!
