You Won’t Believe What Caused Recent Car Crash

I had to do a double-take at the news headline.

A part of me could picture this actually happening.  Another part of me thought, "seriously?!" because honestly, if you're going to panic that much, you probably shouldn't be driving.

According to news 10 abc, a recent car crash in Cairo, NY was causing by a spider.  Really- a spider. Apparently the person driving the car noticed a spider in the vicinity of the driver's area.  This incited a panic, causing the driver to crash the car and sustain a leg injury.  It's not a tiny fender-bender car crash either (you can see the photo here).

I get the aversion to spiders- I don't particularly like them.  But really?  Crashing your car because of one?!  How about slowly pulling over to the side of the road instead like a rational person.  What are your thoughts on this?  How do you think you'd react?
