WWE Payback was a decent show, but it felt more like an episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, with the exception of Enzo Amore suffering a concussion during the opening match, that did not feel like a Monday Night Raw, that was scary.

Please excuse the quality of this clip, in my defense I picked the most popular one. Fortunately Enzo is ok.

Enzo's injury is the highlight of WWE Payback, the Pre-Show was ok but kind of predictable because I was not expecting Dolph Ziggler to win, but he pulled a a fast one on Barron Corbin, despite being completely overpowered Ziggler rolled Corbin up for an unexpected win.

As expected United States Champion: Kalisto outmaneuvered Ryback to retain the United States Championship.

I was expecting Kalisto to win, but not Dolph Ziggler, so it was kind of predictable.

WWE Payback opened with Enzo Amore & Big Cass vs The Vaudevillians to determine the #1 Contenders Match for the Tag Team Championships, but the match was cut short when Enzo suffered an injury and the match ended in a "No Contest."

After such a frighting scene that sucked the air out of the arena Kevin Owens & Sammy Zayn saved the show, then stole it, putting on a grueling singles match that ended with Owens picking up the win.

After the match Kevin Owens invited himself to guest commentate during the Intercontinental Championship Match between Cesaro & The Miz. It was a fun match because Ceasaro beat up the Miz, he put him in the Cesaro Swing for a count of 20. Then Sammy Zayn showed up and attacked Kevin Owens who was being hilarious on commentary. The Miz won the match in typical heel fashion, when the fight between Zayn and Owens spilt into the ring.

Jericho vs Ambrose was fun, Chris Jericho matches are like that, you really feel like you watched a professional wrestling match. Ambrose struggled to hit Dirty Deeds on Jericho, but picked up the win.

The Women's Championship was an awkward clinic, the action in the ring between Charlotte and Natalya was great but the ending was awkward, when Charlotte put Natalya in the Sharpshooter and the bell rang although Natalya didn't tap out, like the Montreal Screw Job.

Vince McMahon announced that both Shane and Stephanie McMahon will be in charge of Monday Night Raw but that does not resolve anything, but it does set up for whatever storyline WWE Fans are in for, but isn't that what Monday Night Raw is for?

AJ Styles vs Roman Reigns for the WWE Heavyweight Championship was a good match, Styles hitting the Phenomenal Forearm off the top rope to the outside was awesome, but the twists to the match fell flat and Roman Reigns won in John Cena fashion.

WWE Payback was fun but not very special, it was more of a building block however that is what it was advertised as: "The Beginning of a New Era," I just hope that it really is and that Finn Balor will debut soon.
