Primus is based in the San Francisco, California area and originally formed back in 1984. The band's current lineup features bassist/vocalist Les Claypool, guitarist Larry "Ler" LaLonde, and drummer Tim "Herb" Alexander. The band's major label debut was the album Sailing the Seas of Cheese. Released in 1991, the album featured the singles "Jerry Was a Race car Driver" and "Tommy the Cat". Pork Soda followed in 1993 and featured the song "My Name is Mud". 1995's Tales from the Punchbowl featured the favorite "Wynona's Big Brown Beaver". The band will release their ninth studio album, The Desaturating Seven on Sept. 29. Listen all week in the afternoon for "Name that Primus Song" to score tickets to the show.
