In Flames formed out of Gothenburg, Sweden in 1990 and they helped develop the melodic death metal genre along with bands like At the Gates and Dark Tranquility. The band moved to a more alternative metal sound by the time they released the album Reroute to Remain in 2002 which would help the band secure a top spot at Ozzfest. The band's released thirteen studio albums, three EP's, and two live DVD's, with their latest being the album Battles released in 2016 on Eleven Seven.
