Warning About New Fentanyl Laced Drug in Upstate New York
As if it’s not bad enough with the Fentanyl already...
A pretty common drug recently was found to laced with Fentanyl. News 10 abc reported a police warning issued about Fentanyl-laced marijuana. The News 10 abc report said that marijuana laced with Fentanyl was confiscated in a parking lot, and also that three people were found unconscious in a car in a separate incident, leading to the issue of the warning. More specifically, they mentioned an incident in Albany County, and that the Sullivan County Sheriff’s office put out a warning after marijuana confiscated from a Wal-Mart parking lot tested positive for Fentanyl.
There’s zero rationale behind lacing anything with Fentanyl to begin with. As a nurse in an Emergency Room setting, it’s honestly scary trying to manage some of the drug mixtures people come in on. But now having to worry about marijuana laced with Fentanyl? On top of already dealing with synthetics, and marijuana laced with rat poison (a warning was issued by the CDC last year). Scary stuff.
