Police in Menands have popped two men for allegedly selling a bit of heroin on Thursday reminding us that no matter what, if you haven't been arrested for selling drugs, your weekend is going to be ok.

In conjunction with New York State Police, Menands police have arrested Virgilio Hernandez (46) and James Phillips Jr. (37) for allegedly selling heroin.

Police began investigating the two after neighbors on Clifford Road complained to authorities about 'unusual acitivity' in the neighborhood.

When arrested, Hernandez and Phillips Jr. allegedly had 1,000 packages of heroin, about 100 bundles. Street value of the drugs ran a little over $6,000.

The two men have been charged with 3rd degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and sent to Albany County Jail without bail.

Again, your Friday could be a lot worse! Enjoy your warm weekend and make sure to keep us loud, unless you plan on selling drugs in a sleepy town like Menands.
