Merry Christmas! We here at Q103 hope you and your family have a great Christmas, but we also hope you have some nice tunes to dine or open presents to, so here's a list of the top five rockin' Christmas songs!

1. U2 – “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)”

This song was originally heard nearly 40 years ago by Darlene Love, and was written by Ellie Greenwich and Jeff Barry. It's been known in the music world as one of the greatest Christmas rock songs, and has been covered by many artists, including Jon Bon Jovi, Anberlin, Cher, Smash Mouth and, as seen below, by U2.

2. Smashing Pumpkins- "Christmastime"

This song was written by the Smashing Pumpkin's front man Billy Corgan, and was featured on a Christmas compilation album over a decade ago. The video's animation was done by Corgan.

3. Hollywood Undead- "Christmas in Hollywood"

Rap/rock band Hollywood Undead have had a successful career so far, and their holiday song "Christmas in Hollywood" was released in 2008.

4. Red Hot Chili Peppers- "Deck the Halls"

The Chili Pepper's version of this song was originally released on their Out in L.A. album, which came out in 1994. This song dates back to the 16th century, and what a way it's come! This version is sort of funny and reminds me of the Asians singing this to the Parker family in A Christmas Story, but hey, it's the Chili Peppers, so it rocks either way!

5. Linkin Park- "My December"

Linkin Park's own personal Christmas song was originally featured on two of their albums. The rock/rap group put aside their fast and melodic style to slow down for this holiday-themed song.

We hope you and your family enjoy these fun holiday rock songs!
