Summer has come to Albany with a bang.  Just after memorial Day kicked off the beginning of the season we get severe thunder storms bringing tornado watches and golf ball size hail.  Now many are without power.

Right now National Grid is reporting that nearly 15,000 Albany area residents are without power due to the afternoons severe thunder storms.  North of Albany is where most of these outages are being felt the most like in Saratoga County.

Some in the Albany and Schenectady counties are also without power tonight, and you can keep track here.  Thought if you are without power you probably can't check this map, so this probably won't help much.  Thanks to our sister station Crush FM for getting this information out.
