Just a few days after being formally announced, there is already an impressive Far Cry 4 fan film on Youtube.

RocketJump's Far Cry 4 fan film was shot and released just days after the game was announced earlier this week at E3 2014, and it's already light-years better than that Uwe Boll abomination we keep trying to forget. We're rather impressed that Brandon J. Laatsch's Far Cry project could be so excellent -- its cinematography, characters, acting, props and special effects all rank in the upper echelon of game-based fan films. The co-star of the short even looks like the gyrocopter-flying companion that can join your game in co-op, Hurk.

The fan film depicts what co-op was described to be like in Far Cry 4: you and a partner get to both attack an outpost and clear it full of baddies. The mortar work during this sequence was particularly great.

Far Cry 4 is set for a Nov. 18 launch on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One
