I never got to see the Latham Circle Mall in it's prime but from my past experiences this is the best it's ever looked. I'm sure there was a time when this mall was crawling with pretzels stands, calendar kiosk and its own Caldor, but that is no longer the case.

When I arrived in Albany I didn't even get to experience as much as the glory of a boarded up Circuit City. The Latham Circle Mall was so run down when I got here that the only thing that remained was a JC Penny. This JC Penny was attached to the mall but the part of the store that would lead into the mall was boarded up tastefully with random slabs of particle board. This was efficient in both keeping me from roaming the empty mall and letting my imagination run wild with the thoughts of local hobos making sweet hobo love on the other side of the boards. When I drove by the rubble today I was almost certain that I wasn't alone when the thought "well now that's a grand improvement" came to mind.
