The Drunken Swim Meet

Probably the worst idea ever.

Just when you think you've seen the strangest things from other parts of the world, you discover Estonia. At least I think it's Estonia. I only think that because one of the comments on YouTube says it is and I know better then to argue with YouTube commentators.

These four... athletes line up ready to dive into the pool for a race, but as the star goes off, they all step off their platforms and being consuming vodka. The techniques are mostly similar. Take a bottle of vodka and start pouring it down the gullet. One guy does decide using a shot glass is a better idea, but I also think he ends up floating dead in the video, which I assume a waiver was signed.

Getting into the pool fully drunk is about what you expect it to be. One guy doesn't even make it in, and the only guy to make it out swims the wrong way across the lanes. Maybe he went the right distance at least though as they crown him champion, after which all the vodka catches up to him and his car starts on fire. I'm not really sure either, you're gonna have to watch the video.
