The debate about NCAA profiting off their athletes with zero compensation has been around for years. Last night the Daily show spells it all out. A wrestler from Minnesota has been stripped of his eligibility after he produced and sold a rap song under his own name. Under NCAA rule no athlete is allowed to profit off their own name or likeness.

I was a college athlete for 4 years and I too can see the issue with this. Sure athletes get access to free or discounted schooling, nice training and living facilities but that all goes away in 4 years. The Daily Show’s Aasif Mandvi also saw an issue with the way things are run by the NCAA and put together this video package.
