Virgil Riley Runnels Jr. also known as 'The American Dream' Dusty Rhodes lived for professional wrestling, his in ring career spanned a little over 3 decades and he worked as a trainer, booker and producer.

Dusty was a innovator in the world of wrestling, displaying a presence in the ring that no one had ever seen before, he also played a key role in how wrestling is presented through elaborate story lines such as the "Dusty Finish."

Dusty held multiple Championships in multiple promotions throughout his career, and cut the greatest promos for his matches in the NWA, WCW and WWE.

I feel that Dusty's legacy and greatest contribution to the world of wrestling was how he helped the up and coming talent. In his later years he worked for the WWE's developmental promotion, working with the younger talent that will become the next generation of WWE talent.

Dusty Rhodes is also one of my personal favorites, because he proved it is talent over appearance, that matters in the world of entertainment.

Dusty truly was the American Dream.
