First of all, the act alone was very, very cruel. Beyond that, it was a massive sign of immaturity and disrespect. Here is what will happen to the teens.

A week or so ago, when it was reported that some ducks had been run over on the Great Sacandaga Lake, I was appalled. After seeing the video footage of the people on jet skis running them down in the water I was more than appalled, I was repulsed. Thankfully, justice is swiftly being served.

The two teenagers who took part in the disgusting act were indeed arrested and beyond that may face a fine of $250 a piece. That I disagree with, it should be way, way more. These innocent animals were victims to kids who have a lack of respect for animals. I don't care what the animal is, that was horrible.

News 10 had this to say from the Department of Environmental Conservation,

DEC encourages the public to observe wildlife from a distance and avoid any actions that may disturb them. If you witness wildlife being harassed or harmed other than by legal hunting activities, or any other environmental crime, please call the DEC Division of Law Enforcement hotline at 1-844-DEC-ECOS (1-844-332-3267).
