Last night, five bands performed at Bogie's of Albany and local quartet Tamerlane opened it all up. I first met them at last year's Battle of the Bands and they have only gotten better since. Check out the photos after the jump.

Find out tonight at Savannah’s on Pearl St. in Albany starting at 10pm. This is it man. It’s the finals for our ‘Play For The Stage’ competition. One of these 3 bands is going to play at SPAC next Friday and play with Godsmack, Five Finger Death Punch and more.

This past Friday, round two of Q-Ruption's Play for the Stage took place at Savannah's on South Pearl Street in Albany. The Hearing Aides, Tamerlane and Potter's Field all competed and played for 20 minutes to win a chance at the finals later in the month. Last week, Pipebomb was the big winner. Read on to see which band was also given a chance to open at this month's Q-Ruption!

Last week’s round one was great with three excellent bands performing and Pipebomb moving on to the finals. I expect to see/hear three more quality bands this evening as Potter’s Field, Tamerlane and The Hearing Aides battle it out for their chance to move on to the finals and hopefully open up for Q103’s Q-Ruption.
