So, New York... What have you done lately? Looks like your neighbors know its the right thing to do.

Well, in the last article I wrote about marijuana, I had said New York should be the next state to legalize. It seems maybe this may actually happen.

We already know Massachusetts has relaxed quite a bit on the marijuana laws. Now one town has even relaxed just a bit further.

Legal charges surrounding marijuana stem from fines and violations to jail time.  However, one District Attorney in New York is going against this, and announced that he will no longer prosecute low-level marijuana cases.  And really, if you're caught with possession of a small amount of marijuana a few times in New York...

Ever wonder what it would be like?

Let the progress begin...

I am pro seeing the legalization of marijuana, I have made no bones about that. It could be good for the economy. More importantly, it could help so many people.

The legalization or recreational marijuana has been a hot topic around the Capital Region lately, especially with many of our neighboring states being a few steps ahead of us, but could New York be next?

Vermont could be the first state to legalize recreational marijuana legislatively. Do you think New York should follow suit?
