Across the country, Americans are spending millions of dollars to splurge on Easter candy. Each state has its favorite. Some are predictable and others are debatable but where do New Yorkers stand on their favorite Easter candy?

This month, a woman from Upstate New York will be launched into space on a mission to the International Space Station.

The last full moon of 2022 will be quite the spectacle not just for its brightness but it has company in the December sky. In a certain part of New York state, you can also see the moon block out one of the planets. It all starts tonight (Wednesday, Dec 7th).

Is this really it? Is this the sign we have been waiting for? NASA has spotted what looks like light coming out of the ground of Mars and the aliens are coming to take over!

We’ve heard of space junk, but this is just ridiculous.

The internet has been having a lot of fun with the Mars Curiosity Rover landing. There were a whole bunch of memes. And, of course, there’s mohawk guy Bobak Ferdowsi, who’s successfully bridged the gap between geek and punk. But the real fun is going to begin when we start to getting hold of more of the photos and videos Curiosity is going to beam back to earth.

The next Mars rover, named Curiosity, which isn't exactly the best name in my opinion but it does fit, is scheduled for a late launch this year and should reach the surface of Mars by August 2012. It has a large robot arm, a "frickin'" laser and is about the size of a small car. And it's all powered by 4.8 kgs of Plutonium-238. Wired Magazine has photos of the rover being assembled. Read
