A sure sign that spring is right around the corner is the announcements of some of my seasonal favorite restaurants getting ready to open up for the season.
Look I know we are hunkering down for another big snow storm but there are signs all around us that there is light at the end of the tunnel and spring is coming to the Capital Region!
Even though it's freezing outside, there are certain things that help us think of warm weather in the Capital Region. One of the many includes the legendary Jumpin' Jacks.
The Powerball is now at an all-time high 425 Million Dollars, a record for the game. If I can take that payout in cash, I would pocket $184,178,940 smackers. What are some things around here that I could buy with that kind of loot? Let's dream!
I’ve heard that people love Jumpin' Jacks and would wait for hours to eat their burgers. When the opened last week, I had to find out why.
When the epic flood from Hurricane Irene caused the Mohawk River to reach flood levels never before seen, popular eatery Jumpin Jacks in Scotia was in it's path. Flood waters reached almost 12 feet deep where patrons would sit on picnic tables enjoying their fries and burgers. The restaurant reported that most of their picnics tables floated away and now are asking for you to help find them.
