New York has some very prestigious schools

Three members of the RPI men's hockey program --- Dovar Tinling, Jack Agnew and Tyler Hotson --- stopped by 'The Drive with Dan Bahl' on Wednesday afternoon.

A new ranking of America's best universities is out and, for what seems to be the first time in history, not a single school from New York State made the top 10.

On July 19th, the New York Lottery Powerball jackpot was $1.08 billion. Although there was only one winner from California who got the billion, there was an Upstate New Yorker who cashed in too.

In 1992 it is believed this mansion in Rexford cost over $32 million to build. Original owner, Albert Lawrence built it to be modeled after Cornell University's campus center. He was an alumnus of the college and Llenroc is actually Cornell spelled backward. Fast forward after three previous owners and scandals, this outdated mansion has sold for just $1.9 million. This mansion may be outdated but it is grandiose and over the top. It has a 5-floor glass elevator, 24K gold gilded ceilings, Scandanavian marble floors, 15 fireplaces, and a sailboat-shaped indoor pool. It also has a mermaid bar with see-through views of the pool and fountains. It sits on 12 acres along the Mohawk River.

Well the dynamics surrounding the lawsuit against Soundgarden seem to be getting nasty, as now Chris Cornell's daughter and Eddie Vedder's wife have apparently jumped in. Last week, I posted about Chris Cornell's widow, Vicky, suing Soundgarden over royalty fees and the rights to songs that Cornell had recorded prior to his death...

Unfortunately things seem to always come down to money and rights after someone dies. According to a number of music news outlets yesterday, including Rolling Stone and Consequence of Sound, Vicky Cornell has filed a lawsuit against Soundgarden...

Soundgarden stepped up to the bar set by their peers and went shoulder to shoulder with the release of 'Superunknown.'

Soundgarden front man Chris Cornell played a short acoustic set at the Belmont Hotel in Austin, Texas this past Saturday night.  It was a bit of a warm up for the solo tour he has coming up at the end of the month.  Lucky for us one concert goer had his camera ready and got the first song on tape before security found them.

The Pulse of Radio recently caught up with the Soundgarden front man and talked about recording the new album and how his solo career is being impacted.
